Doxie
I have just visited your video and you have an amazing child there and are an amazing mom and dad. Your story
really and truly affected me as I worked in a group home for disabled mentally and physically people. One I
had looked after for over 15yrs when he came to us had worn a helmet as well, could not speak and yet had a
smile that was unbelievable. One you don't forget. He would when he was happy clap his hands. We as staff
for some reason would clap with him doing 'patty cake'. It took 5 years of doing and not even realizing what
we were accomplishing he came out doing and saying the words 'atty cake'. Well that had us all stunned! Like
you say it is all in patience, time and the love that you give them and treating them normally.
I am so happy for you Doxie, you should be voted parents of the country.
Take care and God Bless you all.

Millie, it sure did take a lot of patience and time. If you like... I have a great inspirational video. I just
learned how to put it on my site.
