Not Deb, but Ativan never did anything for me but stone me and make me sleep. We tried it several years ago for my simple partials, but I'd fall asleep only to wake up with another SP. I just started Keppra a few days ago. We'll see what it does...

HI Deb,

I was interested in your used of Ativan. Megan has had some seizures
on days that are really exciting (good stress, I suppose) like on her
sister's wedding day about a half hour before the wedding, in the
middle of a dress rehearsal for a play she was in, etc. Does the
Ativan make you sleepy or have any other side effects? Does it
actually calm the brain? I think I may ask Megan's doctor if it would
be a good idea for her to take this when she is having something
stressful or exciting happening in her life.
