Re: [epilepsy] new seizures



Sounds like it was a "tonic" seizure.  A "tonic" seizure is like a "tonic clonic" without the jerking.  "Tonic" means "stiffening" and "clonic" means "jerking."  I had a tonic seizure once (about 10 months ago).  I was at the mall with my grandmother.  She said that I suddenly stopped walking.  I held both hands out straight.  She described my body as being "as stiff as a board."  She said I started leaning backwards.  She guided me to lean against the wall.  I suddenly snapped out of it and began walking at a super-fast pace.
 
That's my best guess. Be sure to mention this to your daughter's neurologist.

Just a quick question my daughter had a diffrent type of seizure today her eyes looked like she was having a absance seizure but she arched her back was not shakink like her tonic clonic any advice would be great
