Hi Rose,
Welcome to our group.
Yes, I do. My last one was 2 years ago and before that 4 years.
My daughters say my brain is scrambled for about 2 days. Then like
you put on a light-- I am OK again. I used to have grand mal szs-
but about 15 years ago they changed.
I do not pass out but at first I act like I don't hear you. If
I am by myself --I sleep quite a bit. Then if someone comes to
the door -- I may have trouble understanding you. Sometime later
I can't talk-- my brain just isn't working.
I live in a Retirement Center and I have instructions out that if I
am not acting my usual self they should call my daughters. Their
numbers are on the back of my door but also in my hollow Medical Alert
bracelet on my RT arm.
About 6 years ago I was admitted to the hospital and had an MRI, Ultra
Sound, CScan and an EEG. My Dr. thought I had a TIA (small stroke) --
as far as I can see it was no different than when I had a sz. I didn't
know that a TIA and a stroke were so much alike.
When I look at the different kinds of szs it sounds kind of like complex
partial-- only it lasts longer.
