If you aren't comfortable with your doctor and he doesn't listen to your problems without your wife, I would think twice. He is your doctor and needs to respect your concerns, it is your body. You know how you feel better than anyone. You are allowed to get a second opinion if you aren't happy with the one your getting. It's your health and your life. You need to be heard to keep well. My very best to you.

For years my wife would come to my appointments w/ me. These were brief check ups for prescription renewal. The doc was cordiual and listened to my concerns nodding his head w/ interest...blah blah... I went alone last time. There were no hand shakes or usual common formalities. Hehehe whats that all about?
When he asked if I had side effects from lamictol and I mentioned my lack of memory and side stepping, he said it probably wasn't the drug because it is the "smoothest" out there. It's just my age. What??
This is the same guy who agreed w/ me all these years concerning lamictol effects....6 years worth. Coincedence that my wife wasn't around?? who knows? Weird. I was a bit PO'd at the guy. I was in and out in under 10 minutes.
It was like visiting a whole different Dr.
how about that?
And now I see the spell check doesn't work...
