I've tried increasing the dosage just before and during the cycle, but it just made things worse for me. I never tried it, but I know that birth control has helped alot of my friends suffering from catamenial (hormone related) epilepsy.

Has anyone ever heard of increasing dose during the cycle?
My doctors last suggestion was adding Xanax then. That is not an epilepy medicine so is not something I will agree too. Is he just blaming the increased seizures on what he thinks is an emotional/mental cause (and I don't) or does Xanax really help with seizures not caused by stress or things like that?
I used to have problems with depression. I wonder if he doesn't believe I'm ok now and wants to blame everything on emotional causes.
Is it possible to increase Lamictal only then? Are there anti-seizures that you can take only then?
Thanks,
Uhura
