You know... you have a good point. I'm not much on soap operas, but the TV show "House" often has episodes including seizures.

A lot of soap operas have been dealing with real social issues such as homophobia, anorexia, bipolar disorder and post partum depression but what they havent dealt with is discrimination vs the disabled except a weak segmere a woman doctor with HIV. its high time we made ourselves known by writing to the scriptwriters to include a character with epilepsy and his/her struggle to win social acceptance and maybe even fear of romance (what if I havea sz at senior prom?) Many prople find they can relate to soap characters bec they see them every day and this method can be a powerful way to convey our position.
