A few persons (not everyone) with epilepsy find that caffeine lowers their seizure threshold.

The stimulants - alerting agents associated with ADHD (such as caffeine, Ritalin, Dexedrine, Adderall and so on) lower the seizure threshold for some of those with epilepsy (not everyone).

That's my understanding.

Here are some very, very unusual resources which discuss, from time to time, the actual differences between ADHD (which does not show up on an EEG) and epilepsy (which frequently does show up on an EEG).
