Hi Tim,
Super interesting hearing others with similar experences in
different ways. I just wanted to mention that I surely understand
the feeling of difficulty with transportation and before getting
married, I moved to a city, New York, and found a place like that
super helpful. I do not know where you may live, but going to
a city area is really good in many ways. I found things to be
involved in and could reach, and I found terrific doctor locations
which were easily reachable. I used NYU. One of the neurologic
web sites today, announced a new plan coming up in Cleveland
which helps in many ways with memory. This study has been going
on for three years now, and it is coming more and more positive. By
next year, classes are going to be available there and hopefully
in time online will be a possibility. Remember we're all together,
and so many of us understand what others share. Wish there were
a place for us all to meet for coffee! Have nice day.
Doris :-)

I was driving for about a year, and continued to drive, crash and total a few of my cars. I had an unsuccessful left temporal lobotomy in '96, I totaled another car of mine and gave up driving in '98. I'm now sick of public transportation and my lack of ability to travel and see others. My seizures remain to be refractory/uncontro

Post the surgery, I have never had another seizure of any kind during the day, however I do get them a couple of times every month when asleep. It is so much better this way I think, since I was able to get my license after such a long time. My seizures started when I was 17 and had a dilly of auto accident. I wish you luck in persuing efforts to find out more about this as it is such a super possibility of possible way to control or eliminate seizures. Keep positive and please let us know how it goes or what you may decide. Take care.
