Hi Carol
Welcome to our family here. You will find lots of friends and hear others stories, some maybe sounding much
like yours and some worse. That is what helped me snap out of the boat I was in and started living a normal
life even though I still had seizures. I told myself 'so what, what others think and how they look at me
that's their problem'. And I would give them the biggest smile on God's green earth. I found if I worried
about what they were thinking when maybe they were thinking of somebody else altogether I was only making
myself sick. Stress then built up and on came a seizure .... over nothing.
Take care and join in the fun here.
Julie

Subject: [epilepsy] Hi All
My name is Carol. I just turned 35.I I had a head injury due to domestic abuse and have had GM seizures since
2004. It started with just a few here and there, but has gotten more frequent over the last 2 years. I have
them every few days and when they come there are sometimes more than 5 a day. I have tried Keppra, Lamictal,
topamax, and dilantin to name a few. I am now on the dilantin again but I am scared f the side effects that
came the last time. The dizziness, nausea, low blood pressure and inability to concentrate. I am easily
agitated when on the meds. I have been seizure free for 11 days. I just got out of the hospital AGAIN!! I am
severly depressed. I haven't drove for 3 years. I have NO social life. I can't work. I miss being normal.
I want my life back and am scared that there is no way back...Help!
what's happening and I don't know how to explain it to them. Where can I go to find out info on different meds
and treatments? I
