OK gang-
I like to ride my bicycle to work. It's about 15 miles each way. When I started F5 back in December I felt I should give up riding until my body adapted to the F5 way of eating. Bonking is no fun. Well, I finally rode to work last Thursday and while I didn't bonk, I felt pretty tired and lacked energy and strength. I came home and made a fruit/protien shake and fell asleep in my recliner for two hours.
Yesterday I rode in again and noticed a remarkable improvement. I added 2-3 mph to Thurday's lackluster performance and I was able to stand on the pedals to climb hills with no problems- all fasted! When I got home, I made my shake, did some work around the house, went grocery shopping, and came home and cooked dinner!
I think my body has adapted to eating once a day but I'm just out of shape for bike riding, even though I walk for an hour every day and do bodyweight exercises. My strength is coming back and I still don't feel hungrier than I did before I started riding again.
I'll try to ride again Thursday (weather permitting) and see how it goes.
