Wow our little family here is really growing fast.
I had one seizure when I was nine and no more until I was 17 and found out I was pregnant. Since then I have had to live with epilepsy.
I have been on more anti-convulsants than I can would waste time to type them all out. I am a nurse. My seizures got bad to the point I was having 3-4 GMs a day had to go on disablity, no job, no more freedom of driving, no more of a lot. Then I was started on Lamictal and about 2 years later I was able to get off disability and go back to work. When I have a seizure I can't drive for 6 months seizure free, but i am one of the lucky ones here I can feel that I am going to have a seizure for hours before. At work everyone knows that i have a "seizure disorder" not a disease, and if i can live with having them others can live around me. So all of you new to our family welcome and tell us yourself and there are so many others here that know what you are going though and feeling the support is great. Much information can be had here.
