Hi Nancy,
Welcome to the group! believe me, you are among friends here!!! I've had epilepsy since just out of high school back in 1975. Over the years most of my seizures where complex partial seizures also. But, I've had different types of seizures which is common for people with epilepsy. Your description to your Dr. of what you felt before and during seizures is what most likely had the Dr. tell you its a complex partial seizure. But sometimes whats hard to put into words are different feelings we feel. Sometimes they are seizures, sometimes they are just everyday feelings that affect people with epilepsy. A good web site to take a look at is my.epilepsy.
But just remember this Nancy, you are among friends here who all can relate to each other. Not only about seizures, but about epilepsy and how in different ways epilepsy might affect you in so many different ways. The more you stay with the group, the more you will read posts by so many different people which will help you to understand your situation so much! It will help you to realize you aren't alone. You can ask us the million and one questions openly here. Never feel you are asking us to much, or saying to much to us. Hey, we are all friends here who relate to each other (smile)! Nothing like having friends, right? Well, you take care, and keep a smile on your face!

> Hi!
> My son has been recently diagnosed with a Generalized Seizure disorder. I'm so scared because he's had three since January. Keppra hasn't yet controlled it. He has different types, though I really don't know the types other than his obvious tonic ones at night.
> I don't know what I'm going to do if we can't fix him. He's everything to me. He's 3 years old.
