The link you have in your post is to some homeopathic combination remedies. It's diffcult to say whether these combinations would help your husband or not, as everyone responds differently. You would just have to try it. From looking at it, the combination is reasonable in my opinion, but it still may or may not be effective for your husband. I also don't think this alone would be sufficient treatment for most people but could be helpful.
I use all natural approaches to treating my epilepsy and other health issues. I have studied extensively for over fifteen years and also taken courses and studied homeopathy in India many years ago. So I am confident and knowledgeble enough to self treat.
I think it would be helpful to go to a naturopathic physician or a chinese medicine practitioner, or ayurvedic doctor (naturopathic doctor who specialies in herbal medicine and diet based on India's ancient approach) first to get some help. Many naturpaths know about and have studied hoemopathy, or you could go to a homeopathic doctor. Sometimes there are naturopathic colleges where treatment is more affordable.
I am having good results with a Japense/Chinese herbal combination I found out about on the Epilepsy Ontario web site. It has reduced the severity of my seizures, the length and also the recovery period afterwards. I also take certain vitamins, minerals and other supplements. I am lucky to have a doctor who is a traditional doctor, but also knows about alternative treatments. He is not a neurologist. I don't know of any neurologists yet, that would assist me in treating without drugs. I just recently had blood work done, so we are addressing some things based on the results that hopefully will help my EPI improve.
The thing that especially helps me do better, is watching my diet. There are many foods that are triggers for me. If I eat carefully, then I do much better. I am currently transitioning to a raw foods diet, because I have always felt best in the past when eating this way. I have been gluten/dairy/
It's good to keep a dairy, and I would encourage your husband to take note of how he thinks foods effect him iin addition to non food triggers and stressors. Dairy is my worst seizure triggering food, and I have read that this is an allergy or problem food for many with EPI.
Good luck.
Love,
jnanda

> > Have any of you ever tried any natural remedies for epilepsy? My husband is 30 yrs old and was diagnosed at the age of 14 with complex partial seizures. So far no combination of medicines has helped him. He is not a candidate for surgery. I am now looking to herbal remedies. I found the info above and wondered what your thoughts might be.
