I had the surgery, left temporal, almost 12 years ago now and I still get seizures but they are nocturnal only. I did not have this kind of seizure prior to the surgery. Since my only insurance for part of drug expense is medicare, I reach the yearly limit allowed, which is $1500-, by early summer. I am glad the genetic seems to be working well with you and your coming talk with your doctor will make you feel clearer and more confident in any type of change. Take care and remember we are all together.

I went today to pay for my lamictal new perscripton, knowing my doctor several months ago said he did not want me to take the generic lamictal. When the cost of $22.95 was told to me, I was thinking for 30 days. Then I thought this is a 90 day supply and went back to see what they gave me. Sure enough it was the generic as they told me the insurance company told them my card was no good. So I have to call them tomorrow and the doctors office is to call me as well as I called them from the Costco pharmacy. If the generic lamictal is as good as the original brand, that is fine with me. If though I will have problems with it, I would rather take nothing as I know I could since my surgery was 8 years ago. Only MSG and nitrates will trigger a seizure in my brain and maybe the flu might do that as well sometimes when I have a fever medicine or not. Any info
