Hi. Be sure to go to the NORML site that I listed in my other post, and you might be able to find people in your state and get help finding a doctor. There are usually contact people listed for each state from this organization.
What I did in my area, is to call the local clinics and inquire if any of the doctors would prescribe medical marijuana. Then I just went on the site for the program in my state, and the forms were there so I could download them, and get them signed and turned in. I have to pay a yearly fee for the license, and my doctor renews his paperwork yearly. I have seen a couple other states, and their forms and process are very similar.
You may want to start out asking any of your own doctors if they would sign your application so you don't have to get another doctor. I see this doctor now too, since he has to see me and be aware of my physical conditions and status periodically.
The doctor I have is medical director of a hospital, and he signs my application for me.
Also on that site will list the current marijuana laws in your state, so you know what the possesion laws are. Some states are more lenient than others. I really encourage you to get your license though. Our state has a reduced license fee also for those who qualify.
Good luck.
Love,
jnanda
